so the GoP don't want people to end unwanted pregnancy by having an abortion, but at the same time don't want women to be able to have proper medical care if required (as it often is) during pregnancy and labour, thus potentially leading to a poor pregnancy outcome. pregnancy and birth may be "natural" but if it goes wrong the consequences can be devastating for both mother and baby.
